please help us more, by giving contact info of persons who can give us accomodation at both Chopta & Tungnath

Thank you.
Hope to meet you sometime.
Viren
Phone this guy Jagdish Singh Negi. He lives in Augustmuni (which is near Chopta) and might be able to arrange a place for you to stay and also avehicle for travelling.
Visited Munsiyari (and a few other places) this week. D.C. Tiwari is brilliant. Drove very peacefully, and he's highly informative. Highly recommended.
Also, at Munsiyari, a certain Mr. Jagatram was our guide for the Khaliatop trek and he accompanied us to Madhkote and Dharkote as well. He apparently also does glacier treks, skiing and rock climbing. He can surely be an additional option as a guide in the Munsiyari area. (Ph. 9456110008)
yup. mr. tiwari is a very reliable person to have along with u on the journey.
Hi Almoraboy!!
Can you please provide phone numbers of some budget hotels (within Rs.1000) in Binsar,Chaukori ,Ranikhet and Kaushani? I'll cal D.C Tiwari for my trip. Thanks a lot sharing this information.
Thanks
Hello Abhik,
Most of the hotels in these places, including kmvn, will be within your budget. nainital will be more expensive, so avoid that place. best to contact tiwari ji. he can help you choose the reasonable places.
Hi Prashant ,
your blog is a suc a wonderful journey of Uttrakhand and your pics is so beautiful . I want to know about Camera like model name.
canon eos series.
Went on a trip to chaukori. Called DC tiwari - he promised he would come, but when we reached kathgodam he shocked us saying some other driver would take us. The other driver was inexperienced and lazy to say the least. Bad experience with Tiwari - would avoid him.
I just posted tiwari - appreciate you will post it else will have to post it in the public domain and mention your censuring comments as well. Appreciate it.
Hi anonymous.....Hows the weather right now?
Also, are the peaks visible?
Hi Anonymous, Hows the weather at the moment in Kumaon....Also, are the peaks visible or hidden by clouds...
howdy guys .... just came back from a camping trip .. so could not publish your comments earlier. worrying comment by anonymous, i will look into it tomorrow.
Thanks for posting the comments Prashant.
The weather is nice, rains once in a while. Cloudy so cant see the peaks very well. The road to munsiyari from chaukori was not accessible due to landslide.
thanks Anonymous,
I will be going to Kumaon sometimes next month. Will try to catch the festival of Kangdali. will tell tiwari ji about this. am sure if you would have got mr. tiwari, then it would have been much better. he has got 2 cars now, one which he drives and the other which is driven by someone else.
Hi Prashant,
Your blog is indeed helpful. Am visiting India for a work trip and am planning for a trip to Chopta-Chadrashila from the 2nd week of Dec for 5 days.
Do you think it's a good idea to go around this time?
As it is my 1st time to India, so from my work trip in Mumbai and fly to Delhi, how should I travel from Delhi airport to meet the driver/guide (Jagdish guy right?) ?
Thanks and cheers
Chin
Hi Almoraboy...am impressed with the kind of information you have shared. Can I have your contact number pls?

Hi, I am desperately seeking the phone number of The Tranquility Inn near Kasar Devi. I believe the owner is mr. Kishan. Would you be able to provide?

Hi Prashant, I want to go for a trek or trip in the Himalayas. I am in delhi now. I will free from 13 to 20 October, i.e. next week. I have seen many options but after seeing all the options I am literally confused and can't decide the best place to go during this time. We are 4 people. Can u suggest a good place with medium budget? It will be a great help...thanks in advance...
This blog post very informative. My wife and I went on the Roopkund trek in the second half of October, and many thanks to Major Patwalji who made the arrangements for us.
I would highly recommend the guide who came along with us, Bhuwan Singh Bisht. He is the headman of Kuling village and one of the few guides in the area who has undergone mountaineering training at NIM. He can be contacted at 8941876481
