now we had copme to the top of the ridge. on the other side u could see kalamuni and the path from which we had come (if there was no fog).

this bhotia dog came along. the shephards had a hut on this side of the hill also. they keep the baby sheep over here. this dog keeps guard over them.

the shephards with their 2 dogs. the elder dog is the one on the left. he was looking after the sheep for around 12-13 years. this winter he will retire. then he will spend the rest of the days in the village below. he was training the younger dog on how to look after the sheep. the younger dog will have to look after the sheep from next year.

the clouds clear a bit for the evening

the rest of the evening was a riot of colours, with the sunlight reflecting of the ice and clouds. also, the clouds formed so many strange shapes...wow!!!
