You are here ->

Home -> Karandang summer trip

This summer, some of us decided to visit the Himkhola area in Dharchula (district Pithoragarh). I had last visited in in Jan 2010 and found its forests really beautiful .. amongst the best I have seen. So I got alsong some more people and we went to Himkhola village again. From there we travelled to the bugyals (high altitude meadows) above it. It was a wonderful trip and we also made videos of the shepherds singing and dancing :-).

Read on and enjoy ....

Hi Prashant,

Lovely Pics! Keep going with your amazing blog. :)

What time of the year did you do this?

I want to go for a solo trek in the hill in May. Just me and my tent and a stove with some supplies.

Could you suggest some places I can research on for May? It would be lovely if I can see some snow.
