Took a break upon reaching AVANI (NGO). it is about halfway between Almora and Dharchula

As we approached Dharchula, it was getting dark. However, the local jeep drivers informed us that it will be ok to drive all the way up to Himkhola as there have been substantial repair works on the roads.
Winter was on its way. all the Shepards were bringing their sheep down to the valleys as it was getting cold in the bugyals above
